| Chicagoland Golden Gloves Charities, Inc. |
The first ever
Golden Gloves Tournament was held in 1923 in the Chicago Stadium under the
sponsorship of the Chicago Tribune. The
tournament was
tremendously popular and the idea of a big amateur boxing show was launched
successfully.
Today, the
Chicago Golden Gloves is recognized as a non-profit charity. Donations
are made every year to various boxing clubs for equipment, and grants were
given to qualified participants to further their college education. Funds
are raised primarily through sponsorships and ticket/merchandise sales. Please
Contact Us to find out more about our charities,
sponsors, or season schedule information.
